Book Review: Guyku: A Year of Haiku for Boys

14 Mar

I picked up this book purely for the title.  This book of haiku is filled with poems about nature and all of the fun adventures that can be had for young boys.  The book is organized by each season and illustrated with fun cartoon-like pictures.  The end note has a message from the author and the illustrator and includes the “rules” for how to write your own haiku.  For teachers, this would be a fun book to include while studying or writing poetry.
